Josh Mariana Photography closed out our 2011 wedding season on November 5th, photographing the fantastically enjoyable wedding of Dan & Dee Dee in Oakmont, PA. The Harmer House has never failed to deliver fun-filled wedding receptions in the past, but Dan & Dee Dee also chose to have their ceremony there as well. The facility & staff impressed me with their ability to handle the entire event! We hitched a ride in an RV to a small park nearby for some photo fun in between the ceremony and reception. Katie & Steve * 2011 Engagement Photography * Pittsburgh, PA

There are few houses as interesting as the mansion at Hartwood Acres. When Katie and Steve suggested this as a location for their engagement session, I jumped on the chance in a heartbeat! We originally planned to do this shoot in the evening but go rained out, and I’m so glad that happened! The mansion looked amazing in the late-morning light of a beautiful Fall day in Pittsburgh.

As per usual, Katie and Steve were a little apprehensive at first as they are not used to being photographed by a nutty photographer, so we eased into the shoot by slowly walking around the mansion, capturing frames here and there. By the end of the session the dynamic had shifted to a fun morning hanging out, Steve was pumping out creative ideas and they even trusted me enough to climb into the huge oak tree that reside in the “backyard.” (more…)

Anna & Steve * 2011 Engagement Photography * Pittsburgh, PA

Anna and Steve weren’t exactly sure where they wanted to have their engagement session, but they knew they wanted something outdoorsy. Having recently photographed a wedding at Settler’s Cabin park I knew that the scenery was perfect there and so upon my suggestion the location was set. What we didn’t plan for was the three straight days of 20-30MPH winds prior to the shoot that sent practically every leaf in the park flying into the woods! (more…)

Mia & Fred * 2011 Engagement Photography * Pittsburgh, PA

Mia & Fred had their first date at PNC Park. What was supposed to be a casual night at the ballpark ended up being the first time Fred met several of Mia’s family members! They all accidentally ran into each other (or so Mia says!) and while this normally might be a bit of a tough situation for any guy to go through, Fred handled it amazingly. They all fit right in together and the rest is history. (more…)
