Most people relish the day after Christmas as a day to sleep in, lay on the couch, stuff bellies full of leftovers, play with new toys and pretty much just do nothing at all. Beth and Dave were referred by a previous client and I’m so glad they were – these two are a ton of fun! Beth had the awesome idea of getting some shots in Grand Concourse since they were all decorated for Christmas. Afterwards we walked up to station square to finish out the session. We got lucky with our timing and were able to get into Grand Concourse while it was basically deserted, and a well-timed passing train made for some fun shooting as well. (more…)
I first met Mia & Lola back in June, 2011 just weeks after Lola was born. For some reason (probably wedding craziness) I never got around to writing up a blog post to highlight some photos of these two beautiful little girls. Several months ago I ran a WeddingChannel.com “groupon” deal for 50% off engagement sessions. The feedback from the program was great and Judy & Brandon were among those to take advantage of the crazy low session rate. After grabbing a cup of coffee with this awesome couple we had a game plan in place to make some images around Pittsburgh’s North Shore on November 15th. (more…)
Josh Mariana Photography closed out our 2011 wedding season on November 5th, photographing the fantastically enjoyable wedding of Dan & Dee Dee in Oakmont, PA. The Harmer House has never failed to deliver fun-filled wedding receptions in the past, but Dan & Dee Dee also chose to have their ceremony there as well. The facility & staff impressed me with their ability to handle the entire event! We hitched a ride in an RV to a small park nearby for some photo fun in between the ceremony and reception. The party got started as soon as we returned and kept rockin’ all night thanks to Steve Maffei Jr. (more…)
